The Canon PowerShot A430 digital camera doesn't have any fundamental improvements compared with previous versions of Canon A-series digicams, but it allows to achieve better image quality than any preceding introductory-level models. Camera has 4.0 Megapixel CCD image sensor for high-fidelity pictures, 4x optical zoom lens and 1.8-inch LCD monitor. From preceding versions it inherits DIGIC II Image Processor, iSAPS technology and many useful but ordinary functions and properties. Certainly, this camera relates to cutting-edge technologies but it can satisfy only entry-level shooters.

Canon A430 User Reviews.
Overall Rating: 9.5 of 10 - Great camera at a decent price
|
This camera is great for first timers, it has loads of cool features including 'colour swap', and when you make every colour but 1 go black and white. I have the camera for about two months now and have taken over 1600 pictures. The pictures are very clear, sharp and the colors are vivid and realistic, without noise. Greatly recommended. Movie mode is good as well (VGA resolution), the 4x optical zoom is very useful, and it has a lot of manual settings you can play with. I haven't even used half of them :) Bottom line - I really like this camera and plan to stick with this Canon range in the future.

Overall this is a very good camera at a acceptable price, the picture it captures is very clear and vivid. The only weekness I found with this camera is that you have to wait a while for the camera to become normal to take the second picture after you take one.
