Canon A540 User Reviews.
Overall Rating: 9.0 of 10 - Great Little Camera!

|
A lightweight, pocket-sized camera with large view screen, but with controls still large enough to operate one-handed with your thumb. Not a professional grade camera but a good family camera. Very good for personal use. I will highly recommend this camera.

Overall Rating: 9.1 of 10 - Best you can get for $250

In my opinion, the Canon A540 fits the bill almost perfectly. It's small enough to fit in a coat pocket or small belt case yet uses 2 AA batteries. Overall processing speed is blazingly fast unless you're taking flash pictures (and then you should expect about 4-5 seconds between flashes). Also, the LCD screen does get washed out in the sun, requiring use of the optical viewfinder. But, hey, if that's all that's wrong with this camers, then, it ranks way up there with all the more expensive ones out there. I paid $250. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.
