I have been printing digital photos for almost 10 years, beginning with the original Epson Color Stylus. My previous purchase was an HP 932C, which was pretty good. But the i950 is truly in a class by itself, the photo quality is incredible. Bright clear colors , razor sharp image, no pixelization, I could go on and on, but words can't really describe the quality of the prints. Check it out for yourself, seeing is believing. All I can tell you is I was at a party this weekend and one of the guys there was a professional photographer, and he couldn't believe the quality of the prints I showed him, he was talking about it all day. The speed is just what was needed. Photo printers have just been too darn slow for a long time. The i950 spits out beautiful borderless 4 x 6 prints in about 40 seconds, 5 x 7 in about 90 seconds, and a full borderless, 8 1/2 x 11 in about 2 minutes. Canon paper Pro is great, epson is very good too, same print quality, but the stock is not as heavy, because of that it doesn't feel as "professional" but it sure looks just as good. I find the cost of paper actually cheaper than my HP, Buy.com sells the 4 x 6 Pro paper for about $6.00 for 20 sheets, my HP was $7.99. Stores charge much higher prices for these things. Don't get ripped off, Comp USA charges $11.99 for the same paper. Text printing on plain paper in "Standard " mode, prints at about 2.5 pages a minute, and is pretty good quality. Mixed black text and color graphics is a little slower, but the quality is just as good. For my needs this is sufficient. This is a subjective area, and everyone has different text printing needs to I advise you to check this out before you buy. It's very difficult to decide what to buy, even when reading these reviews, everyone has their own unique perspective, specific likes and dislikes, levels of experience and expertise, etc. My final comment is, given the current state of the art in photoprinting, this is by far the best product out there, I don't care what anyone says. There is just no reason to get anything else, at all.
