Includes: FujiFilm FinePix 2600 Digital Camera, 16 MB
SmartMedia Card, 2 AA-size Ni-MH batteries, Battery charger, Hand
strap, USB cable, CD-ROM containg USB driver, FinePixViewer, DP
editor, VideoImpression. |
Think of the 2.11-megapixel FinePix 2600 Zoom as a value-packed
camera for digital photo novices with some attractive extra features. It's
priced to compete with the no-frills 2-megapixel crowd, but this FinePix
boasts a 3X zoom lens, a silent-video-clip mode, and Webcam
capabilities--along with rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride batteries and a
charger in the box for good measure. The deal is further sweetened by the
camera's image quality, which is on a par with that of higher-priced
models.
With a street price that's far less than $300, the FinePix 2600 Zoom is unquestionably a good deal--especially since it produces output that's competitive with that of more expensive models, such as the Canon PowerShot A20 and the Olympus D-510 Zoom. The menu-surfing that's required to make manual adjustments might frustrate some users, but digicam novices who just want to point and shoot couldn't ask for an easier camera to use right out of the box.

I received this digital masterpiece for Christmas, and have had it out of the box and in my pocket ever since! This is camera and is loaded with features.
The three different picture formats each have different quality settings, and with the ability to upgrade the memory stick your picture taking is endless. Directly connecting the camera to the computer gives you the opportunity to email the pictures to your family, resize them, make holiday cards, build a website, or send it to a printer and develop away.
I especially like the style and look of this camera. It is extremely lightweight and very sleek looking. It doesn't seem flimsy at all, and I am never worried about any pieces breaking off.
As far as features this has way too many to list. But lets put it this way: Any picture you want to take, at any time, and any place, this camera has the functions to make that picture perfect. This is great to capture memories, and with the LCD screen you can see if the picture you just took, might need to be shot real quick, before the moment is gone.
The only gripes I have are the battery life. After a few days of picture taking and resting, the batteries are reading to sit on the charger it comes with for 4 hours. There are faster chargers for more money, and also an adapter. Also, the flash when utilized takes awhile between pictures to refresh.
I definitely recommend this camera, from a reputable company, well known in photography. If you plan on getting a digital camera, make it this one.

The Lowest Price is not always best !
When you buy a digital camera, the basic package almost always includes
extras such as a battery charger, lens cap, batteries, flash memory card, and software.
One of the more disreputable practices a dealer can engage in is called unbundling. These
dealers remove items from the package that are normally included in the price and
price them separately.
When purchasing
a camera you have three components of the price to consider - the camera price, postage and
handling, and taxes. Many dealers lower the price to make the camera more attractive, then
increase the postage and handling to boost their profits.
Hesitate before
accepting extended warranties. Every knowledgeable consumer expert says it's better to
gamble. Most of a company's profit is in the sale of these warranties so they press, and
press hard. Your job is to resist, and resist hard. The only thing to keep in mind is that
digital cameras can be horribly expensive to repair. If you want peace of mind, you may
want the warranty, even though it's probably overpriced. The cost of a repair can
approach, or even exceed, the original purchase price.
When you buy a
camera from a reputable dealer, you expect to be able to return it if you aren't
satisfied. Some dealers try to discourage this by requiring a restocking fee for returned
merchandise. This is always explained as a way to recover their costs of checking the
merchandise and restoring the packaging you may have opened.
Many dealers is
truly a false, deceptive and a total crook. Bait and switch tactics used. Does not sell
new merchandise and will ship used or refurbished goods without notifying customer. They then
try to charge a restock fee on top of their exobitant shipping fees to make a profit where
they could not on their goods. A try case of buyer beware.
