Introduction

Rollei introduces a new ultra-compact digital camera, the Rollei das6. This new Rollei digital camera has only a thickness of 18mm offering ultra compact dimensions to carry the Rollei ds6 everywhere you want to go. The Rollei ds 6 offers 6.0 Megapixels resolution on a 1/2.5 inch CCD image sensor. Additionally the ds6 digital camera features a 2.5 inch LTPS color TFT display, 3x optical zoom lens and 4.4x digital zoom. The Rollei ds6 is able to capture video clips and offers voice memo recording function as well as a built-in microphone and speaker. The 3x zoom has a focal length of 5.8 - 17.4mm (equiv. 35 - 105mm on a 35mm camera). Combined with the 4.4x digital zoom, the camera offers a total of 13.2x zoom.

Featuring a 6.0 Megapixel CCD image sensor the compact Rollei ds6 digital camera provides the entry-level and amateur photographer enough pixels to capture their favourite moments and edit, scrapbook or print their digital pictures in high quality. The 3x f/2.8-f/4.8 optical zoom lens with a focal length of 35 - 105mm give the photographer the creative freedom to move in real close even to far-away subjects. Their favourite moments can be viewed on the 2.5 inch large format LCD display.

The Rollei ds 6 camera offers a wide range of settings, starting with flash (Auto, forced, off or red-eye reduction) and white balance (Auto, manual, daylight, cloudy, tungsten, fluorescent, and manual) right up to macro shooting from only 5cm distance. To transfer your digital pictures or video clips to your computer or a TV set, the Rollei ds6 digital camera has a USB and a video interface (NTSC, PAL).

About Rollei
The company's founders Paul Franke and Reinhold Heidecke wanted to build cameras which were perfect and easy to handle. They wanted to make photography not only accessible to the professional photographer but to the wide range of amateurs. In 1929, the result was the legendary "twin-lens" which became the standard tool of professional photographers and the dream of every amateur enthusiast. The "twin-lens" formed the beginning of a long line of product developments. Others followed and among them the launch of the Rollei 35 in 1966, the Rollei SL 66 with built-in bellow, the first electronically controlled medium format camera Rolleiflex SLX, the 35 mm SLR camera SL 2000F with interchangeable magazines or the dissolve projectors which still are unique.
